Juan Pierre

In 2006, while playing for the Chicago Cubs, Juan Pierre came to the plate 750 times and put the bat on the ball 661 times. That’s one of the 10 best totals of times making contact in baseball history. Pierre was a contact hitting leadoff man known for his wheels – he led the league in stolen bases three times. He is the only player to lead the league in steals with three different teams, he did it for the Colorado Rockies, Florida Marlins, and Chicago White Sox.

Pierre was the leadoff man for Jack McKeon’s Marlins in 2003 when they won the World Series, and he hit .333 in the six-game Fall Classic against the New York Yankees.
