Tommie Agee

Tommie Agee was American League Rookie of the Year in 1966 with the Chicago White Sox, but he gained his most fame as center fielder on the 1969 Amazin’ Mets. That season, when New York shocked baseball by not only winning the pennant, but then upsetting the Baltimore Orioles in the World Series, Agee hit 26 homers and was sixth in MVP voting. In the fall Classic, Agee made two outstanding catches in the World Series.
